ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
RULES & GUIDELINES
General
- Authors can submit their abstracts for either an oral presentation or a poster session for the 7th Master of Aortic and Cardiac Structure Surgery.
- Abstract submission will be open from March 1, 2026, to September 1, 2026.
- Abstracts must be submitted online no later than September 1, 2026.
- Authors must be registered to participate in the event.
- When submitting an abstract, authors must commit to registering for the congress if their abstract is accepted and must be on-site for oral presentations.
- Posters must be sent before September 1st to the following address: Poster Secretariat: sylvie.marie@chu-rennes.fr

Review & Evaluation
- Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the abstract review committee for acceptance.
- Acceptance notifications will be sent to authors by September 15, 2026, at the latest.
- The “poster jury” will select 10 posters from all displayed posters for an oral presentation.
Publication
- Accepted abstracts will be published under the “Abstracts” tab of the MASH website at: https://mash-congress.com/abstracts-2/
Awards
- Prizes will be awarded to 3 registered participants whose abstracts demonstrate a significant contribution to the aortic field through research or innovative clinical techniques.
- The official award ceremony for the three prizes will take place at 10:15 AM on Saturday, October 24, at the Palais des Congrès during the coffee break.
- Prizes: 1st prize: €2,000; 2nd prize: €1,500; 3rd prize: €1,000.
Length, style, and formatting
- Abstracts must present a clear methodology and hypothesis, list the names and institutions of all authors, and designate a corresponding author.
- The body text can contain a maximum of 300 words and cannot include figures or tables.
- Abstracts must be written in a structured format and include: title, authors’ names, affiliations, background, methods, results, and a conclusion.
- Case reports are also acceptable and must be identified as such in the submission form. Case reports must be structured as follows: title, authors’ names and affiliations, background, case report, and conclusion.
- Abstract titles must begin with a capital letter followed by lowercase letters.
Originality and linguistic accuracy
- Abstracts must contain original data, be free of plagiarism, and be written and submitted in English.
- The linguistic accuracy of the abstract is the sole responsibility of the author
Disclosure of funding source(s)
- Abstracts must indicate the funding source (industry name, grant name, or any other applicable funding) if any exist.
- Trade names, commercial names, and corporate brands must not be mentioned in the abstract title; however, they should be mentioned in the body text.
- Abstracts containing elements that could lead to patient identification will be disqualified.
Oral Presentation from accepted abstracts
- Oral presentations will take place as a 5-minute flash communication from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and Sunday, October 25, 2026.
- A PowerPoint presentation may be used. The presenter must provide the PowerPoint file to the presentation moderator in advance on a CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, formatted in English.
Poster Presentation
- Text, figures, and images may be included.
- Posters can be laminated.
- Size: Maximum A0, vertical orientation.

Copyrights
- Authors are required to write an original abstract that meets accepted copyright criteria.
- By submitting an abstract, all authors attest that the abstract has not been previously published elsewhere, and transfer, assign, or otherwise convey copyright ownership, including all related rights, exclusively to MASH.
- If an author chooses to submit information from an abstract that has already been presented and/or published, all data must be updated, recent, and rewritten so as not to infringe on international copyright laws. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to include any copyrighted material in their presentations. All authors will be required to accept a copyright assignment statement when submitting an abstract.
